Microdermabrasion

How does it work?
Using a fine mist of microscopic crystals, the outer layer of skin is gently exfoliated and removed by suction, encouraging the formation of new elastin and collagen. The younger, softer skin moves to the surface affecting significant textural and color changes. An immediate improvement in your skin will be noticeable with these effects increasing over the course of treatments. Microdermabrasion typically offers more predictable results than chemical peels.

What can be treated?
Microdermabrasion treats all skin types for fine wrinkles, sun damaged and aging skin, enlarged pores, acne prone skin and acne scars, blackheads and whiteheads.

How many treatments will I need?
Typically, a series of at least five treatments are required. This may vary depending on the goal for treatment. Periodic maintenance combined with a specialized product regimen is recommended for the best results.

What can I expect?
There is typically no downtime. Smoothing of the skin and general overall improvement in the look and feel of your skin is the expected result.

Side effects:
Rarely, swelling and/or blistering can occur. There can be some pinkness, flaking, and streaking (rarely) which resolves within a week.
